The 2012 International Conference on Compound Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology is pleased to support student attendance at the conference. We are a not-for-profit organization committed to advancing the manufacturing capability of compound semiconductors. As part of that commitment, we encourage student participation in the conference by awarding a prize for the best student paper presented, and by providing limited financial support to selected students to help them attend the conference.
Guidelines for the 2013 student travel assistance program are:
-
Students must advance register for the conference no later than March 1, 2013. Note: this is earlier than the regular “early bird” registration deadline
-
Available funding is limited; requests will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis
-
Preference will be given to student presenters
-
Eligible expenses are limited to: registration fee, up to 5 nights of conference hotel lodging, and partial airfare (limited to $750 for domestic and $1500 for international itineraries)
-
Awardees are required to participate in the Student Forum, to be held during the conference
-
Note: All aid will be paid as reimbursement, to be distributed by check in USD after the conference
To apply for student travel assistance, the following information is required:
-
A letter indicating your area of interest within the field of III-V compound semiconductors, and your current or planned research topics in this area. Student presenters should indicate which paper they will be presenting at the conference
-
A letter from your advisor indicating his/her support for your attendance at the conference
-
A travel itinerary with pricing, showing purchase of airfare and reservations for hotel lodging
-
A copy of the online registration confirmation for the conference
These items must be prepared and sent to the University Liaison by email at
student.aid@csmantech.org
I look forward to reviewing your information and hope that we will be able to provide financial assistance.
Sincerely,
Patrick Fay
